2003 WRX gets illuminated ignition key ring. New Sonic Yellow color available in sedan and wagon, sedan only available with the rear spoiler. App 1,500 yellow WRXs will be made. New optional 17" WRX wheels from Subaru, other peformance items. (03 price increase $200)

New Car 1000 mile break-in period- keep RPMs under 4000, vary speeds, avoid hard starts/stops, warm up, cool down engine
1st oil change 3000 miles/3 months
Oil change: every 3,750, or at least every 7,500
Tire rotation 7,500 miles
15,000 miles - minor service, inspection, air and other filter changes as necessary.
30,000 mile service with major fluids, spark plugs, (WRX 60,000) and filters change.
60,000 miles (WRX spark plugs) - repeat 30,000

Model WRX STi sedan (no wagon) Subaru says: "The 2.5-liter turbocharged powerplant is the largest displacement engine ever installed in a WRX STi model and is exclusive to the North American market. It is the most powerful 4-cylinder engine available in the US. Until now, STi-badged Subaru vehicles had been available only in select world markets. The success of the WRX prompted strong demand from American consumers for an even more extreme-performance version of this car. As a result, the U.S.-market Impreza WRX STi gives up nothing compared to models offered in Europe, Japan and other markets and in some ways offers more performance."
