2012 seems to have the same functions as 2011 ansd 2010 as far as I can tell.

You can program at least 5 phones to work with the Navigation system.
Only one phone can be active at a time and you have to switch the phone in the system if you want it to work. It isn't hard to do.
note that this Navigation does not cover Hawaii, Alaska

Navigation screen OFF-
Navigation off- tap the opening 'agree' button, then tap the right audio button. This is what you see. The start it again, tap any Nav button
Outback and legacy

To access the map disc, gently pop off the blue plastic 
cover from the bottom, your fingernail works well

register your phone- make Bluetooth active on the phone

you can add your phone's contacts

more than one phone registered (system will take up to 5)? its easy to switch but only one phonecan be active at a time

dial. a phone has to registered to make a call 

List function (lower right of screen) is a improved point of interest function and no longer alphabet dependent!.

change your location so your can find Points Of Interest, correct time zone etc for the clock etc

calendar and calculator functions are in the 'Info' screen

Bluetooth setup screen

audio setup screen is more than a few simple bass or treble adjustments. It can be pretty complicated
