The all wheel drive Eagle 50 series SX/4, a 2 door liftback, was made 1981-1983 in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
The Eagle all wheel drive was introduced in 1980. It was based on the technology of the Jeep Cherokee Wagoneer with quadra-trac.
1987- Chryser bought AMC in 1987 and still sells the Jeep line.

The
SX/4 was based on the AMC Spirit liftback.
It had a 2.5L I-4 cylinder. 
The SX/4 was raced in the 1981, 1982, 1983 and 1984  ProRally series and did well.
The 1983 Eagle wagon was the official vehicle for the National Ski Patrol

The Eagle all wheel drive was introduced in 1980.
It
was based on the technology of the Jeep Cherokee Wagoneer with quadra-trac.

1972- Jeep Cherokee and Wagoneer with quadra-trac introduced.
1970- AMC bought Kaiser in 1970.
1963- Kaiser introduced the Wagoneer (later known as the Grand Wagoneer) in 1963.
1953- Kaiser bought Willys in 1953.
1949- Willys, who bought the Jeep name in 1950, made the Jeep station wagon from 1946-1955. 4WD was available starting in 1949.
Willys, Ford and Jeep designer Bantam all built 4x4 Jeeps during WWII.


1987- Chryser bought AMC in 1987 and still sells the Jeep line.
