Hello.

Would you like to reply publicly to For Sale and Wanted posts?

Currently it's set for reply by private mail (pm).

If you are posting a For Sale or Wanted ad people would be able to publicly reply to your ad.

Is this a good idea?

Thank you...
Joe

Joe,

I think this would be a good idea. I think that most of the time, a buyer will post public replies if they have general questions that could help other buyers. If they are looking to do more of the haggling and such and don't want others to know exactly what they are offering they would use the PM option.

This is how I see it work on many other boards and I think it works out to both buyer and and sellers advantage. The only problem is when a thread gets out of hand because people start chatting about off topic items and then it makes it harder to find important info when you are interested in buying the listed item.

Thanks,
Matt
