Hi, I'm new to the forum. I own a 2002 Impreza WRX turbo. I have just purchased a radar detector (Bel RX65) and I am wondering where the best place to position it is. I know it should be as low as possible without any obstructions, I have it below the rear view mirror now but I think the wing is obstructing the view, the cord poses a problem in some locations.

Hi. I'm not an expert but I think they work well on the lower wndshield so it clears the wipers.

Does the manufacturer have recommendations?

Joe

Thank you for your reply Joe, yes but not very specific. I do have it just above the wipers but I'm wondering about the view to the back end, the wing causing view obstruction...

What about above the mirror?

Or.... some company should make one with dual sensors... one for the front and one for the back....

I like that idea! Maybe one each for left and right sides as well and of course one for the top of the car for those darn helicopters......

I was pulled over by a plane once ... never saw it and still think the cop just said it was there though I certainly was speeding.

You'd think there'd be a detector with front and back remote sensors, though it sounds like an expensive idea.

Hi, Katheryn. Go to Radar Roy, Google search. He reviews and gives that kind of advice. Darrell.
