With so few models to choose from here in the USA, and many of those aging fast, I'm beginning to wonder if importing from Japan or Australia might be worth looking into. Any thoughts or experience out there?

 You know I've thought the same thing! And I think it would be worth it! If you can get one cheat enough. I have looked into on company that seems very creditable Yokohama Trading, they do have an office in Oregon and you can talk to a real person. The one thing I don't like is you have to buy them off ebay without checking it out. Hope this helps some!

They are suppose to be ready to licnense the day you get it. And this company offers your money back if their are any problems. So it seems easy enough. I need to do more research on them before I go and buy one.
