|Post subject:||95 wagon seat position|
I just purchased a 95 Legacy wagon. It seems the front seats are quite a long way for the pedals and steering wheel. I'm 5-10 and it is a reach for me, my wife is 5-3 and can't even reach the pedals. Also the both seem to lean back quite a bit in the most upright position.
Is this normal?

It's possible the seats seem to lean beause the foam is tired and doesn't offer much support anymore. Assuming they aren't broken of course. Seats can be repadded by an upholstery shop but sometimes just using seat covers will work. You can always tuck foam under the seat cover too as needed. Foam is available in various sizes and thickness from a craft or sewing store.
As for distance from the pedal, you can try http://www.pedalextenders.com/. They're easy to put on and might be enough.

Found the problem, one of the seat sliders was bent and only allowed the seat to slide about 3 inches, not the 9 inches the factory says.
The guy I bought it from was, shall I say... large.
